Settings, account, and security

Settings lets you manage your account, security, connection, and app preferences. Use it to keep your profile current, protect your account, check service status, configure proxy settings, and update RobinIT.

Profile

Use Profile to update profile details shown to your team, such as nickname, title, and contact number. Your email address may be shown for reference and may not be editable in RobinIT.

Password and security

Use Password & Security to review account security details and change your password. Choose a strong password that you do not use for other services.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication adds an extra verification step when signing in or performing sensitive actions. Depending on your organization, you may be able to use email verification, SMS verification, an authenticator app, a passkey, or mobile app verification.

Add a two-factor method

1. Open Settings.
2. Choose Two-Factor Authentication.
3. Choose Add Method.
4. Select the verification method you want to set up.
5. Follow the setup and verification steps.

Two-factor tips

• Keep at least one method available before disabling another method.
• Do not share one-time codes or approval prompts with anyone.
• If you lose access to all methods, use account recovery or contact support.

VPN SOCKS5 proxy

Use VPN Proxy when your organization requires VPN traffic to route through a SOCKS5 proxy. Only change these values if your administrator gives you the host and port.

Service status

Use Service Status to check whether RobinIT backend services are available. The page may show the current status, reason, retry time, and last change time.

App updates

Use App Updates to check your installed version and apply available updates. Keeping RobinIT updated gives you the latest fixes and improvements.

Restart or quit the app

Settings also includes app-level actions such as restarting or quitting RobinIT. Save any work before using these actions.

Security best practices

• Use a unique password for RobinIT.
• Keep two-factor authentication enabled.
• Register a passkey only on devices you control.
• Keep RobinIT updated.
• Contact support if you see sign-in or activity you do not recognize.
